I am so happy I turned around and came to Yellowstone!!!! This park has been a highlight of my trip! It is verdant and vibrant, the air is fresh and crisp and the fragrance of pine trees and the earth is heavenly. There are wild flowers growing on the side of the road and bison walking in the middle if the street. There is much to see and do here and I will mark this as one of the places I will return in the future to spend time, particularly when I am able to hike! I have decided today that even though my trip is really only in the initial stage, I am tired and I am coming home. I have seen and experienced so many wonderful things but the more I am away from home, the more I have realized there is no place like home! I miss my family and my friends, the local vet and my Trader Joes Os in the morning. I will take a different route home and I am sure the adventures will continue. It is the way my life goes and I wouldnt change a thing. I still need to plan the route and just like the route west, the route east will be flexible and fluid. Many thanks to all of my FB friends, I hope you continue to enjoy the sights across our beautiful country on the way back and I am sorry we wont see the northern lights in Alaska on this trip. BTW, day 2 of the thunder shirt seems like a good fit Maddie is not panting and is much more relaxed!
