I am so proud of my Kira. She spent the weekend at an audition for the Cadets/Cadets2, which is a drum and bugle corps. She worked from 9 pm to 12 am on Friday night, back up and drilling from 8 am to 12 am on Saturday, from 9 am - 1 pm today and then they did a performance for the parents at 1:15. She went completely on her own, knew NO ONE there and they slept on the floor in the high school where the audition was being held. There were around 450 people auditioning for about 270 positions in the two corps. She is beat up, tired, and sore, but at the end she was offered a position with the Cadets2!!! If she decides to do it, she will spend every weekend this summer rehearsing and performing in Regional competitions in and around the NJ area. Now, we just have to figure out how to get her there every weekend, lol.
