I am so proud of my husband Frank. Fighting his fight against Esophageal Cancer, holding his head up high, and never letting it get the best of him. His bravery amazing me. No matter what comes his way, he never lets it get the best of him. We were both so worried that the scan would come back with bad results yesterday, which has happened before, but when the doctor told us the cancer hasnt spread, again, what a huge weight was lifted off our shoulders and hearts. What a wonderful, early Christmas present. Our situation is still what it is and we have come to terms with that. But WE HAVE MORE TIME TOGETHER and we are so very grateful for that. We will continue to FIGHT TOGETHER, be DETERMINED TO WIN, and SHARE OUR STORY. We both hope and pray we can help give others the determination to fight and not give up. To know that cancer can take your hair, your weight, the color of your skin, your strength and so much more, but one thing cancer can not take, is your HEART & DETERMINATION. Just because you have cancer and maybe youve been given a not so good diagnosis, doesnt mean you cant live life to its fullest. You may not have as long to live as you thought, but you can cram as much pleasure and enjoyment as possible into the time you do have. Do the things you were putting off until retirement. Take those trips, go parachuting, whatever it is you were putting off until later. Do it now while you can and ENJOY IT. Treasure everything you get to do and everyone you get to be with. Dont let cancer take everything from you. You can still have a FULL, ENJOYABLE LIFE. Its up to you to make the best of your unfortunate, bad situation. Frank and I are making the best of our situation and we are loving and enjoying every minute of our time together. Our lives are not turning out exactly the way we had planned, but we are living them and putting a lot of HEART into them. So dont give up when you get your cancer diagnosis. Dont let the cancer win. The fights not over until that last breathe is taken. This is why Im so proud of Frank. Hes fighting his fight, holding his head up with pride and living his life like theres no tomorrow. I love Frank with all my heart and soul. Cancer can not and NEVER will, take that away.
