I am so proud of my wife Erica Peacock, today they had a goodbye lunch for her at work and tomorrow will be her last day working after almost twenty years for Dr. & Mrs. Ahdieh pediatric office in Rockingham. I know at sometime tomorrow as it gets close to walking out the door and saying goodbye there will be tears coming down on face. But these will be tears of joy. She truly has loved her job (well most of the time) ha ha.... and has love working and learning from a great team of professionals such as Dr, Ahdieh and Charlotte McNeil. They have taught her, encouraged her to learn and serve the community of Richmond County. She has loved working with the children, and their parents. Many she saw many years ago and has been seeing their children. Wow how time flys by. She leaves tomorrow with excitemnet and encouraged for her next journal of her life as her medical career continues to unfold in front of her. I think of the little over twenty-one years we have been together and I am just so proud of her hard work, perserverance and willness to never give up. I like to say "you have come a long way baby" from working in Roses Department store to going to nursing school for the first time and becoming an LPN, then going back to nursing school again after having our son to become an RN, then some years later going back this time to UNC Chapel Hill to earn her masters degree, and after passing all the exams and late night studing reaching the goal she has had for so many years. Becoming a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner. So tomorrow as she leave a great job and team. She starts her new path of her medical career next Monday when she starts her job as a PNP at Kids First Pediatrics in Raeford, NC caring for the children of Hoke Countie with the same love, skill and knowledge that school and her years working with and for Dr. Ahdieh and his staff has taught her.
