I am so sick and tired of the news coming out of Ferguson! Too many people wrapping their identities around things that are defining them in ways that are making them look like the very things they are demanding not to be seen as. Let me be clear, I absolutely do not support rogue cops shooting people that are not threatening the safety of the officer or anyone else! That is my point of view regardless of the skin color of any party involved. I also do not support the condemnation and declaration of guilt of anyone, regardless of skin color, before there is a completed investigation and the facts are known. Upper and middle class people, hold on! Quit declaring the cops innocence until we know the facts. Lower class people, quit condemning the cops guilt until we know the facts. I fear that this entire thing is not about this case but about the hatred and mistrust within the heart of every person involved and it is tragically fanning the flames of deeper mistrust as a result of everyones banter. Finally, media, when you make yourselves a part of the story you have done a very poor job covering the story. This is not about you. Quit pressing the officials to arrest you so you have another story to tell and get more national attention. This is not quality journalism...its sensationalism. Now, protest for constitutional justice all you want. But, no one has a right to define justice as an end result that satisfies their desired outcome. Thats not justice! Thats a selfish bias and it deeply fuels injustice on any side. Justice in this country has a process and we desperately need to see it played out in this case. There, Ive shared my thoughts that have been bottled up for over a week. If youve read all of this then you may need to get a life! Oh, and thanks!
