I am soooo excited to be heading up to the mountains to share my biodiversity research and discoveries with Rowen White and her Sierra Seed Seva interns in early December. It was such a delight hosting Rowen with her amazing children, Maizy and Mossy, and several of her inspired students here at BoTierra this Summer. Must say she brought me great gifts of insight and wondrous stories (not to mention a collection of her sacred seeds!) that invited me to re-examine my beliefs and strategies for the work with indigenous food plants. Very few people out there are asking the difficult and profoundly complicated questions around our choices for embracing the ®evolution in the deepest sense thru personal re-evaluation of our life choices, ferreting out the assumptions and opening to a direct and immediate intuitive relationship with this living earth. As the world enters a time of unpredictable and chaotic transition from the unsustainable past into an unknowable future, it is sublime to be involved with seeds…and with people who have made a commitment to fearless love in service of a perennial wisdom that cannot be denied…. With these seeds stored in our hearts we are empowered to transform fear into an adventure beyond our wildest imaginings… Vaya con Gaia….
