I am sooooo sorry for making you all wait!! I am still waiting to hear the status of Misty today, but I will give as many details as I can without crying... So, on Friday, plans were set on the rescue of the Misty, but by Monday, everything was completely changed. More lies and cover ups were discovered, but in the end, MISTY WAS RESCUED! She is at a vet being treated for a list of things;( She was said to have been in even worse conditions at a family members house than on the deck where she was ABANDONED. Their (the county she was found in) animal control said that she was showing signs of aggression and growling (a scared, whimpering growl, showing no teeth.) When they got her to the shelter, she was not showing any signs of aggression with the puppies in the playpen, (or the four dogs they found her with), but became very timid when people approached her. They thought she may have been pregnant (BECAUSE HER RIBS WERE SHOWING BUT HER STOMACH WAS SWOLLEN!) After an ultrasound, it was discovered that SHE WAS NOT. She has G.D.V., meaning her stomach is TWISTED. They had to shave her due to the amount of FECES matted in her fur, the INFESTATION OF FLEAS, MANGE and to treat lacerations she had! ;( (She was checked out and deemed in good condition though, right Douglas County?) ..Misty still has more tests to undergo, but SHE IS SAFE!! I was told that I would receive pictures soon, so I PROMISE to keep you all updated!! Now, I dont know why Douglas County doesnt want the details to go public, maybe so they wont have to admit fault, but I was also told that since WSB doesnt want to air this story anymore, all false accusations and statements made against me by Douglas County, were to be retracted PUBLICLY, or further legal action would be taken. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE THAT STOOD WITH ME ON THIS!!!!
