I am soooooo behind in keeping you all updates. Patricks fever - TopicsExpress

I am soooooo behind in keeping you all updates. Patricks fever stayed strong through Monday morning, when it finally broke. Tuesday was the earliest day to release, but we had to look at inflammatory markers in his blood work to know if things were getting worse, holding steady, or getting better. Mixed bag was the outcome. One marker dropped by half, the other just down a few points. But the docs decided to let us make the jail break! We arrived back at RMH around 530. Patrick was still unfogging from the Benadryl used to premedicate before he received his IVIG infusion. He decided a cheeseburger was the menu selection for dinner. Debbie marched over to Bobby Flays Burger Palace to fill the bill. Having been worn out from the in-patient schedule, Wednesday was low key. We all got out to the area north of the art museum near the boat houses onto Schyukill River where there are walking and biking paths. We lunched at the Reading Terminal, then returned back to RMH for more rest. Patrick was feeling much better today. After I got some work in and Debbie tended to some phone calls, I took The Man out to one of the local golf courses for exercise. It was just what the doctor ordered. Good blood sugar before dinner as a result of some exercise, and we both had a comedic blast, finding any opportunity to crack a joke with each other. We have a clinic appt tomorrow with labs. Well find out if the inflammatory markers are stable or reducing. If reducing, then likely the worst is behind us. Patrick still has to overcome a low ANC before hes really out of the woods. So prayers for good numbers, low and high, are on tap!
