I am still angry. On the evening news there was a segment about Autistic kids getting shock therapy at a school in Boston. After seeing this 17 year old Autistic boy strapped down, binding his legs and arms to boards, then given several shocks, 31 shocks in all. I hit the ceiling, while yelling at the TV. After viewing the whole segment, I learned some of the parents approved of this treatment. Oh my great Aunt Gerty, I want to take the co-founders, the Handlers and the parents that approved of this form of torture, strap em down just like they did to those children, put the electrodes in a very dark place and flip the switch 31 times. I cant believe this is legally allowed. Some of the parents say this is the only way to make their children behave. Its quite obvious they didnt take the time to learn what they needed to do for their child. I look at William and see a very capable young man now through love, education and getting the help he needed and still does. He didnt go through shock therapy. Not that I would let that happen. I just dont get it. How can people be so cruel especially, to those they supposedly love? Well I am still blown away..........venting :/
