I am stoked. My favorite tv show that absolutely no one else is watching since Caprica got canceled is finally back. On tonights installment of Ripper Street: completely legal heroin hits the streets of Londons East End, everybody is kung-fu fighting, and John Merrick witnesses a murder. Yes, THE John Merrick. Not the best episode ever. Needless to say, it seemed a little forced, and yet, I was highly entertained. Of course, my favorite doctor investigated the heroin on himself. Which leads me to the question, why do fictional characters always describe heroin in such poetic terms? Is it really that difficult to describe in literal speech without all the dramatic metaphors? Heroin users, help me out here.
