I am surprised that CAF is always silent on issues, which directly or indirectly affect Africans all over the world. It is not only shameful that we allow ourselves to be the foot-mat of the world in economic affair; we also do the same when it comes to sports because of a few leaders who would rather keep quiet than speak up to command respect in the world. One of the best ambassadors of African football was embroiled in a racism row in Russia. Rather than speak up for one of our own & make a solid stand, we are deafeningly silent & I wonder if this is because CAF members are too scared of offending their white colleagues in FIFA because of the handouts they get. I would have thought that this is a good time for Africans to take a bold stance probably by threatening to withdraw African teams from the world cup in Russia unless something is done & seen to be done about racism in that country and the westphalian world at large. Whilst this is about football, it alsIo reflects on other aspects of life & passivity explains why Africans all over the world get trampled as probably sub-human. Howbeit if CAF is unable to speak for Africans, fellow Nigerians you have being chosen by Heralds of National Observers (HNO) as leading-lights to throw more lights on these issues of Black African Football And Racism. Reports shows that expectations are high in England, the English press calling on FIFA & UEFA for more extreme measures to tackle racism. The victim Yaya Toure, his club Manchester City host their Russian counterpart CSK Moscow in their second leg champions league clash in group D. By 8:45pm today November 5 2013.
