I am thankful for food. As we were eating our Thanksgiving feast, My father shared with us the difficulties of The Great Depression and rationing during World War II. I have always noticed that he enjoys each bite and is so appreciative, never complains. My sweet mother-in-love always committed on how much he loves his food. He shared what it was like to eat pot likker (sp) and cornbread for supper, how he would not have lunch at school, and the hardships he endured. Yet, he is not bitter just thankful. Our Christ understands the importance of nourishment. He took a simple boys lunch and feed thousands. More importantly, He nourishes the soul, The Bread of Life, and quenches our thirst, The Living Water. Yes, I am thankful for food. I am thankful my tummy is satisfied but most importantly, I am thankful my soul is filled with my Christ. I am thankful for the testimonies I hear on a daily basis, always praising Jesus. May your souls overflow with Christs blessings.
