I am thankful for many things, far too many things to mention on a facebook post. But today I want to be clear: I have lived a charmed life. Things havent always been easy but God has given me strength to overcome every obstacle or hurt in my life. I am thankful that I am often misunderstood. I will make no apologies or excuses for who I am--if I were predictable or normal I would be very disappointed. It has taken me years and years and years to love myself, and anyone who knows anything knows the importance of that. I will not live one more day with the goal of pleasing others if it means sacrificing my inner soul. I am who I am and I have a lot of living left to do before I die--and today is the first day of the rest of my life. Happy Thanksgiving to all, and do not let your happiness ever depend upon the opinions or expectations of others.
