I am thankful that we made it through the hurricane without any loss of life, I rode it out with my parents in Carteret County. My Dads 89th birthday was today and my nieces 23rd birthday was yesterday.. I am so happy that my family was able to celebrate their birthdays today. With the help of my sisters generator, shrimp and fish were on the menu. Thanks Joyce for the wonderful meal and thanks David and Rick for getting the tree cut out of the way of the front door this morning so we could get out of Dad and Moms house. It was a good day! However, I was so sad to see the corn devastation in Hyde County on my way home tonight. The farmers worked so hard and the crops looked so good. I hope they will be able to salvage some of their crops, but it doesnt look too promising too me. Let us count our blessings and pray for those who lost so much!
