I am the President of a Not-For-Profit Wildlife Rehab Center and also work in Human Resources. I spend my life dealing with people. It may be lunch with a potential major donor from a large corporation, an on-site tour to 30 giggling 4th grade students, or an interview with a candidate looking for a job. I have learned that each of these encounters is equally significant and important for different reasons. But I have been doing this for many years and am completely comfortable in these social situations. That said, I still learned some valuable techniques from this book. Some of it was a bit repetitive for me, but then, I am not exactly the target audience! If you are either: in Business, in Human Resources, Public Speaking, or really, any aspect of life that deals with human contact, Ill bet you can learn some valuable guidelines from this book! I found it to be an easy read, sprinkled with humor and real life scenarios; not at all text book or tedious. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to be more at ease in any social situation, be it for building business relationships or just for enhancing your life.
