“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep. But a hireling, he who is not the shepherd, one who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees; and the wolf catches the sheep and scatters them. The hireling flees because he is a hireling and does not care about the sheep.( John 10:11-13 ) If we dare to see people as sheep and Jesus Christ as their good shepherd, we will be challenged to live differently. We are challenged because it is our call as well to be good shepherds to the people in our lives that God has placed under our care. 1 John 3:16 says, "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters."Take courage, and live your life in service to your brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus. This will point lost sheep to Christ, and perhaps they will find their way.
