I am the last person to raise hysteria and exaggerate a situation.......but seriously.....when will the people of this country wake up!!!! The events of today are not the conclusion to a problem......they are but the tip of a gigantic iceberg. Those who wish to talk down this threat; this IMMINENENT threat, do so at the peril of themselves and those who listen to them.......regardless of the spin our politicians put on the situation, WE ARE AT WAR!!!!!! And make no mistake, this is a war that we must, AT ANY COST, win!!! Friends, we are indeed at war with this extreme so called Islamic group; ISIS, ISIL or IS.....whatever you wish to call them, NOT with those of the Islamic faith.......a distinction we must continue to emphasise. There are those who will insist that todays events are nothing more than a means to justify the actions of our government in facing this threat head on.............these people, I refer to probably the only sensible thing said by George W Bush..... If youre not with us, youre against us......a statement it would serve well the Islamic community in Australia to remember. My thoughts are forever with the families and friends of the brave men and women of our defence force who risk their lives to take on these radicals, in the name of our continued safety, who are nothing short of the scum of the earth. I think it is also essential we understand that this heightened sense of threat is not something that is going to be eradicated in a mere matter of weeks or even months........this is something we are going to have to be dedicated to for the long haul..............WE MUST NOT confuse this mission (read war) with the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.........wars where we were working in a coalition of the willing to lessen the terrorism threat to THE WORLD.......... From this day forward we are working first and foremost to eradicate the terrorism threat to AUSTRALIA........a threat that is clearly real and one which must be addressed immediately and decisively. My biggest fear is that perhaps our great Aussie Shell be right mentality may be our undoing.......regardless of whether todays allegations prove to be founded, the threat is real........we must raise our alertness. Finally, a message to those who would seek to intimidate and strike fear into the hearts of my fellow countrymen and women....... HISTORY HAS PROVEN WE ARE A YOUNG BUT TOUGH NATION. WE HAVE, TIME AND AGAIN RISEN ABOVE ALL ODDS, TO FACE HEAD ON THE CHALLENGES THAT FACE US. NOT ONLY DO WE COME OUT ON TOP, WE COME OUT STRONGER AND MORE UNITED..........MAKE NO MISTAKE, WE WILL DO IT AGAIN. WE ARE AUSTRAILIANS........THERE IS NO TOUGHER OR PROUDER NATION. IF ITS A FIGHT YOURE LOOKING FOR, LOOK NO FURTHER!!!!!!!!
