I am the recipient of a gold star from today at Pulmonary Rehab Clinic. Doesnt sound like much, but with the oxygen at 8 liters I walked 6 minutes on the treadmill, did 6 minutes on the bike, 6 minutes on the cross trainer. Had to rest just a teeny between each exercise but I DID IT. Walked two laps around for the cool down. My oxygen levels stayed OK except on the treadmill when it dipped to 87%. Not bad for an old lady who four short months ago had been dealing with pneumonia, a collapsed lung and bronchitis on top of the Pulmonary Fibrosis. Thursday I am going to try for 8 minutes. You all can be my cheerleaders.
