I am the son of a former police officer, I have dispatched for hundreds of officers in two localities, and I am personally friends with many officers. Full disclosure, my view is skewed. Full disclosure, there are bad officers. Full disclosure, I am a right wing red blooded conservative. With that being said... Those of you who are anti-cop, anti-law, cops are racists, hate speakers are way off base. You have absolutely no idea what its like to be in law enforcement. You have no idea what its like to go to work every day understanding that it may be the last time you leave for work. You have no idea what its like to be saddled with so much responsibility. You have no idea what it is like to literally fight for your life, hand to hand, for 30 minutes while back up responds. You have no idea whats its like to be an officer, and officers dont tell you how to preform in your job either. Believe me, when you need law enforcement, you will call 911. You will scream, you will cry, you will beg the dispatcher to send someone quick. You will see those blue lights. You will see an officer get out of his vehicle and fight a criminal as if both of your lives depended on it. You will see him draw his weapon and take a suspect into custody. He will be your biggest hero. You will be so very greatful and you will say Thank God for the police. So for now, why dont you sit down, shut your mouth, and go back to serving coffee, or whatever your an expert in, and leave law enforcement and criminal justice to those who do it every day. Because you have no idea.
