I am thinking of naming Mr. Femi Aribisala my noble intellectual of the year - for having the courage of his convictions and not trying to fool anybody about his pro-Jonathan/PDP stance. Had he not been forthright in making known his position for 2015 clearly; had he deployed a great deal of intellectual energy into pretending that he is embracing an even-handed rejection of every possibility, every scenario for 2015, while in fact neck deep into the advancement of Jonathan-PDP; had he been throwing endless infantilist tantrums all over social media to fool the foolable and deceive the deceivable as to where he really stands and who he is really working for; had he elevated stale ribaldry into an instrument that could produce alibis and denials when necessary (how can you possibly think that I was being serious? I was just having fun o); had he been throwing the occasional baby punch in the direction of Jonathan/PDP just to muddy the waters and confuse the gullible over where he really stands, we would have told Mr. Aribisala: fara bale! Chill. Its okay to embrace Jonathan/PDP openly. You dont need the sins of the opposition as an alibi for your choices. Belong where you will, openly. Stop dancing palongo. Stop the contortions. You must understand that there are people in your constituency that you can never fool. They read you, read through you like a kindergarten primer. You cannot deceive them. Dance where you wish to dance. Clearly. Unambiguously. Nobody has killed Abati for dancing clearly and unambiguously where he has elected to dance. If it pleases you, answer Osaka. If it pleases you, answer Osoko. If you have attained a certain age, Osaka-Osoko is not a nice name for you. Mr. Aribisala does not need these lessons, does he? That is why I do in fact respect him.
