I am totally disgusted with the politics of this town!!!!! Even though I don’t mix Clementon politics and Facebook I have to make an exception today because 2 people I care about were very hurt today by the campaign literature that was sent out by the Republican candidates for Clementon Council. The republicans are taking credit for the hard work and community service of Christine A. Rachuba Nucera and Jonathan Fisher. In this literature, the republican candidates take credit for the new playground and tee-ball fields at Daniel Dougherty Sports Complex, when in fact, they played absolutely no role. Here are the facts: • My good friend Joseph Feldman takes credit for establishing the Open Space Fund in Clementon, and Joe should be given credit for his efforts at preserving open space in Clementon. But Joe only intend for this fund to be used for buying ground in Clementon. At the time I was a Councilman and added the language to also make it acceptable for the purchase of equipment for our parks (such as playgrounds, fencing, benches, etc.) and upkeep of our parks and playgrounds. And yes I do have the emails between myself and Joseph Feldman and the borough attorney and documentation to prove it. • They have the Republican Mayor, 2 Republican Councilmen, and the 2 Republican Council candidates standing for a picture in the new playground as if they are taking credit for it. This is so far from the truth… The whole idea of a playground at Daniel Dougherty Sports Complex came completely from Christine A. Rachuba Nucera and Jonathan Fisher. Christine (President of the Clementon Youth Athletic Association) and John (Vice President of the Clementon Youth Athletic Association) came up with the idea so that the little brothers and sisters of kids playing sports at the complex would something to do also. Christine presented her plan with costs and details along with a PowerPoint presentation to Council at the April 16, 2013 Council meeting ( clementonborough/yahoo_site_admin/assets/docs/41613.15490842.pdf ) and was granted approval. Christine then managed every step of the instillation of the playground. • The playground had its grand opening and ribbon cutting on June 29th and over 100 people attended, the Republican Mayor whom was asked to cut the ribbon and 2 Republican Councilmen who were publicity invited chose not to attend. • The tee-ball fields at Daniel Dougherty Sports Complex were completely the idea of Jonathan Fisher and Wayne Lemma. John and Wayne did all of the work to build the fields, put up the fencing and lay the sod…by them self’s!!!! The money to pay for all of this came from John’s and Wayne’s’ pockets with some help from the Clementon Youth Athletic Association. That is why even the mention of others taking credit for this is so disgusting. I could go on and on about all the lies that are being spread this campaign season, but like I said, I am only setting the record straight for to people that I care about that called me very upset today when they read the campaign literature.
