I am traveling to Michigan today for Dads memorial wake. As a Landolt, my father was born into a family that valued education and the relentless pursuit of knowledge and understanding. It is no coincidence that he and many in the family earned doctorates in their respective fields. To say that my dad had a brilliant mind was an understatement. Many who knew him have told me how they marveled at his creative capacity. As a brilliant young researcher, he searched for answers and understanding. He was fascinated with everything from single-celled organisms all the way up to the size and scope of our universe. So it is only fitting that his body is now supporting the scientific research he so enthusiastically championed his whole life. Im so very proud!!!
