I am troubled. I offered/was asked to play music for a Christmas party for a group comprised of children. There is great concern that materials of a religious nature would be played citing that the location of the party was in a public school. Frosty the Snowman is OK but not Silent night. Winter Wonderland would be great but The first Noel is out. Joy to the World? Nope. This world is in big trouble and I am seeing why. I thought we called December 25th Christmas? Christ-mas? A holiday to celebrate the Birth of Christ? Hard not to feel sick. If I dont believe in togas then I shouldnt go to a toga party. I do think its wrong to go to a toga party and demand that everyone should wear shirts and pants. I will happily do this performance but I must admit that it inspires me to say to all of my facebook friends that if you dont want to believe in Christ, dont celebrate Christ-mas. Stay home. By all means I support you to start your own holiday for whatever you want. Im all for it. I will even help you. Just be advised that December 25th is already taken.
