I am truly amazed that more Dunsmuir residents are not outraged by the multiple increases in their power bills for not only the Klamath Dam Removal, but the increasing cap and trade (and the cap and trade cost will now increase without the non-carbon hydro plants that serve 70,000 homes in northern California and southern Oregon) Do people truly understand that Pacific Corp is agreeing to the dam removal because your elected officials granted them the authority to charge us for the cost of removing the dams while pacific corp makes billions. Also, their other choice is to make improvements to the dams that would make them more efficient, and help the environment. Why would they ever make the choice to spend close to a billion dollars upgrading the dams, when they have been granted permission from your elected officials to bill you for the cost of getting them out of it. Also you will now pay higher cap and trade prices on your bill as it is being switched to carbon based facilities.
