I am truly blessed to be able to share that yesterday I reached 18 months in Recovery!!! Since I became willing to expose the pages of my life to the love and understanding of my God, with my sponsor, with the fellowship, and with my friends and family, I have a new freedom and happiness. Ive discovered that I Never have to feel alone again...EVER!!! With Gods presence, my life has become profound and it will continue to do so as long as I Pass it on. Not just one single act of Paying it Forward, yet, for me, the ACTIONS I take on a consistent basis of sharing my experience, my strength, and especially my Hope. For where I used to take, now my life is to GIVE. Things Ive learned about myself in these past short/long 18 months...some of you may already know by witnessing first hand, or by me sharing: If I cannot HONESTLY say to myself that any behavior, I may be entertaining, I can partake with COMPLETE IMPUNITY...then I must steer clear of. For it is not acceptable to Gods Will for me and may lead to the Jose I do not want to be anymore. I am not Perfect, nor will I ever be a Saint. Fear, for me, is how I lose my life...one moment at a time...what I give to fear, I take away from FAITH! Last, and not least, my surrender for humility MUST be greater than my enjoyment of an inflated ego. All of you have had an impact on my Recovery in some form or fashion and I AM truly grateful for that.
