I am trying hard to understand Mr. Pianim....he argues that once we essentially make a declaration of confidence in the Ghanaian economy the malaise will somehow lift..the real economy responds to the stimulus of hope and belief?..... None of the accounts historical/analytical of hitherto transition economies that I have read about( and been tutored on by dudes who handled directly those processes) suggest this........neither the amorphous rather obtuse idea making the rounds about policy credibility.....what is that?.........you do not conjure that nor confidence...I am reminded here of Susan Stranges famous phrase : Casino Capitalism.......you need robust, consistent(not implement and withdraw) and inventive policy interventions anchored on Leadership with a National Transformation Plan....these inspire the confidence and credibility not the other way round in my humble view....#eyesontheMahamaEconomy
