I am trying to address safe sanitation practices in East Africa. At the same time I am trying to save our most valuable resource which is our fresh water. I look at the quality of waste water being discharged into our oceans and rivers and although I can resolve these issues, utilities and governments dont have the funding. Everyone wants to meet the milineum goal but dont have funding. What is more scary is that governments want to allow its citizens access to water. They however not prepared to look at the root. Conteminating our fresh water supply system will eventually lead to a major crises. 2.6 billion people lack basic water and sanitation. This figure does not change. So what is really being done? When will we be heard? I suppose only when it will be too late?
