I am trying to be optimistic about Foster today but he is not feeling well and could not eat anything this morning which is the 6th day of not eating. You can see how skinny he is getting in pic 1 from yesterday and pic 2 is from this past November when he was being his typical self :) He went to the Vet at the U of M this morning and because he is weak, in pain and needing an IV for nutrients they are holding the scope off until tomorrow. Tonight he will stay at the U of M Vet Hospital and they will monitor his symptoms and try to get him more comfortable. It appears whatever is happening is in his stomach as everything from issues with his pancreas, liver to Addisons disease has been ruled out. He does have the beginning of bladder stones but that can be treated and the current symptoms he has are not typical of bladder stone symptoms. The best scenario tomorrow is the U of M Vets discover tomorrow he just has a bad stomach ulcer which can be healed and then he will be chasing the squirrels soon and of the course the worst news is stomach cancer that was not detected earlier by the X-Rays and Ultra Sound. Thank you again for caring about Foster - he will even be very happy to hear that even a few cats are hoping he gets better :) He is more than a dog to us as he is part of our family and it is so hard to watch him suffering. I feel terrible he is spending another night in a strange place with out his family. I will keep you updated. JY
