I am unfortunately not able to go in Abbys room right now due to an emergency with another child-how my heart breaks every time this happens. I needed some uplifting thoughts so went through some of the wonderful messages we have been sent of peoples random acts of kindness that wanted to remain anonymous. Thought they may spread a smile across your faces as well and be some inspiration:) I paid forward a coffee today on Abbys behalf and the warmth I felt after it was incredible!!! My thanks to Abby, it has been a while since I felt that warmth : ) Yesterday, I was selling something on kijiji. A nice couple arrived, newly pregnant with their first child. I surprised them with a whole bunch of extra baby gear to help them out. They were so thrilled and excited and I told them to pay it forward for a special little girl Abby and to send all their positive thoughts her way. I am thinking of your little girl constantly and sending her all my love and strength. xo We were just in Florida with our son Adam, and it was Monday am I had just read about the pay it forward and decided to share it and the story of Abbys condition with Adam (he is 10) So through tears and quivering voice I told the story to Adam and asked him to do something nice for someone that day and think of Abby. We were fortunate enough to be right on the beach, and it was a beautiful warm sunny morning. we had been in the water looking for shells and sand dollars and watching Dolphins swim right by us! It was a blast. It soon time to head back to our room to pack, so we gathered our shells and were walking up the beach when we passed 2 young kids (2-3ish?) with their parents. we heard them asking to go down to the water. Adam heard this and decided to go over and give them some of his biggest shells as he told them we found them out deep and they would never be able to get the same size ones as the kids were too small. 😬. We did not get to share the story with the parents as the kids were yelling about their new shells, but Adam looked at me and winked (kind of!) and I gave him a squeeze. We will get a few shells to Abby too, until she is big enough to go into the water and get them herself 💕 Again, thinking positive thoughts daily and continuing to pay it forward I enjoy my McDonalds coffee and Ive been saving the stamps to gibe someone a full card! Gave the waitress one last night, at my Xmas work party, and she was thrilled!!! I let her know about the cause and asked her to do an act of kindness as well. ... been following Abbys journey each day. We are thinking about you all. Thank you for inspiring so much good. My pay it forward was to purchase granola bars, Gatorade and some other treats for the homeless man standing outside of Shoppers today. Sending healing hugs to Abby. I ordered a Rosk Pouch a little while ago and they accidentally sent the wrong colour. They told me that I could keep that one and that they would also send me the correct colour. I thought about keeping both, but was inspired by you and Abby to pass it along instead. Im at Mac today to meet with students so I went upstairs and chatted with someone from Child Life (part of McMaster Childrens Hospital). The blanket /pouch will be passed to a family who is going home from NICU to help keep their little one snugly and warm this winter. Thank you for continuing to share your story and inspire me to do more for others. Passed along movie passes on my birthday this year as a present to myself with Abbys story. Thank you for sharing all of your stories either in a private message or on Abbys wall. All the positive energy that is being created because of one little girls story. Thank you xo
