I am very anxious for you to tell us what exactly this is as you are adamant it is not a collapse. Have you been to the Placentia bridge? This had not been structurally sound for years now. Holes developing on the top where the cars drive over, huge pieces of metal falling down on top of cars, weight restrictions, flags people to make sure only one school bus (FULL OF CHILDREN) travel at a time to prevent a horrible tragedy, visible rust and crumbling cement....I could go on all day. One month from now you will toss hundreds of children on this a few times a day in busses to transport back and forth to school because you are assuring people it is safe. You know, it is laughable really. One paragraph talks about how the cause is undetermined for certain & how they will try to lower it but it will be trial and error. The next paragraph is you pledging safety assurance & stating a sound structure. Please explain how you are certain the structure is sound if you dont know the cause of this collapse! Yes I said it, Placentia bridge collapsed on one side. No matter if you want to call it a malfunction or collapse....it still happened. Mr. Nick McGrath please show yourself at the Placentia bridge to explain your statements & show us your assurance by being the first vehicle to test the trial & error lowering. You may as well also pre-plan your written statement offering sympathy to the person(s) who become seriously hurt or killed on this sound structure.
