I am very aware that its October, a time where black cats are associated with the occult,demonology and witchcraft. This poem is designed to paint black cats in a more realistic light. I have included a photo of our three, their brother muscled in! I do hope you will share this poem with your contacts. The Black Cat (The facts) Neither evil nor demonic, they’re cats that are jet black. They hold no impious malice yet they seem to get the flack. No hint of special powers or maleficent intent. Just coal black feline beauties with a gentle temperament. They cannot curse or jinx you or strike you from above. They’re magnificent half sized panthers with capacity to love. The occult is not their forte they’d rather have a snooze. Black cats are simple felines, no need for strange taboos. They’re overlooked at shelters residing there for years. They witness every prejudice and all unfounded fears. It’s a black cat bias syndrome as statistics seem to show. They’re judge on only colour just why we’ll never know!
