I am very dark, but lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, like the - TopicsExpress

I am very dark, but lovely, O daughters of Jerusalem, like the tents of Kedar, like the curtains of Solomon. Do not gaze at me because I am dark, because the sun has looked upon me. My mothers sons were angry with me; they made me keeper of the vineyards, but my own vineyard I have not kept. Songs of Solomon 1:5-6 I have never heard an interpretation of this verse like the one tonight from Jacob Smith. This woman was not confident because she knew she was pretty. She was not reliant on the fact that her body was the right size or because her skin was the correct color. She was confident in her purpose. She was tanned because she had to work. She took care of her family. She had a place of responsibility. She was confident in that she knew she was someone. She relied on what she did and on who she was to prove her worth to whom she loved. We have come to a place where the message is, Youre perfect no matter what you look like. Which is not a bad thing to think. But we have come to rely on, If he/she doesnt like me for the way I look, Ill wait for someone who will. You are beautiful, you all are. But the beauty we should be based upon is who you are. Nothing is more beautiful than someone who is righteous and sincere in their ways and life style. Find someone who is in love with YOU as a person. With the name you hold. With the life you live. That is the type of attraction you should want/have with someone. I was really touched with the message today and just wanted to share a little light with you.
