I am very disappointed in Verizon. Verizon should be grateful that I am not canceling my service with them. If Apple had their own cellular service, I would switch over in a heartbeat. I will never buy another product from Verizon (phone, tablet etc...). My battery in my iPhone swelled up and literally broke my iPhone 5 apart. I was carrying it in pieces. Verizon said there was nothing they can do about it because I never purchased their insurance. I told them, even if I had your insurance, I shouldnt have to use it and pay the $100 deductible to get my iPhone replaced because of a hardware malfunction. If I broke my iPhone accidentally, then yes I would pay if it was my fault. Verizon still told me that they cant do anything for me except to offer me a new iPhone at cost of $800, lol. They can go to hell. So, with the advice of my friend, Eric Blacker, I called Apple and talked with them about it. They agreed that it is a hardware malfunction, not my fault. Apple scheduled me to go in and see a technician at the Apple store in Allentown, PA, an hour away from me. So I went to the Apple store for a 3pm appointment and if anyone has ever been to the Apple store at the Lehigh Valley Mall in Allentown, PA, parking is atrocious. Took me 15 minutes to find a parking spot where the Apple store is, ugh!!!!! . Anyway, a tech looked at my phone, Looked some things up and guess what??? My iPhone is covered under some quality program. A lot of the internal parts are covered for life!!!!!!! Apple swapped me out with a new iPhone for free!!!!! Verizon is a useless, money hungry corporation. They can care less about you and your problem. Verizon only loves whats in your wallet. I will do all my iPhone business directly with a Apple store from now on. Never again will I spend anymore money with Verizon for a phone, tablet or whatever. They dont deserve any more money from me other than what they get for my service plan because their cellular service is pretty damn good :)))
