FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE September 9, 2013: Official line-up announcement for the 2013 New Brunswick Musicians Emerge Festival! Fredericton, NB—Over seventy talented New Brunswick musicians and music groups applied to be part of the 3rd annual New Brunswick Musicians Emerge (NB-ME) Festival this year! Out of these seventy plus applicants, eight were selected by jury to be part of the festival, which will take place this coming November 15th and 16th at the Charlotte Street Arts Centre. The festival is offered as part of the Platform 732 Performance Series for 2013-2014. The official line-up of musicians, hailing from around the province, includes: Adam Mowery (Saint John), The Waking Night (Fredericton), Pastel Skeleton (Fredericton), Celestial Sunrise (Minto), Goofetroope (Fredericton), David R. Elliott (Saint John), Shorty Tubbs (Fredericton) and Betty Time (Bristol). These sound magicians represent everything from Indie Rock to Folk to Lo-Fi Power Pop, Noise Pop, Garage Emo, Shoegaze, Alternative Country, and Punky Indie Pop. Festival performers will enjoy an all expenses paid trip to the festival, accommodations and food included, where they’ll have the chance to be showcased in our beautiful venue, expand their audiences and networks, be paid professional fees as performers, attend professional development workshops and each receive a marvelous prize, all aimed at supporting the advancement of their careers as New Brunswick-based musicians!
