I am very happy because my car started this morning in a second in single digit weather. Here is a long story with a ethical question at the end. My car had been cranking slow so I took it back the service station where I bought the battery. They said the battery was OK but I needed a new starter. They also said that it made a terrible grinding sound when they tried to start it so it might need a very expensive flywheel. Since this never happened to me I realized that they had tried to start it when it was already running. I then took the car to the dealer who said that the starter was fine and the most obvious problem was that it had the wrong battery (too small) and it wasnt even fastened down. New correct battery - works great. Here are the questions: 1. Should I go back to the first place and tell them they are idiots? 2. Just tell my friends not to go there? 3. Forget about it and remember that incompetence continues to be everywhere and never go there again? I will probably do #3 or maybe #2..
