I am very honoured and delighted to be named as Russell Marks, greatest shot ever, coming from a man who has spent over 2 decades competing at the highest level in the ISSF disciplines,winning an Olympic Gold Medal and commanding a presence at any shooting event he has ever attended. I have had a lot of laughs with Russell over the years, he is along with Michael Diamond a likeable Aussie ! (Rare I know) I am not sure why he has compiled the list but I am very pleased he has, as it gives an insight into the careers of some hugely talented shots, who over the years have graced the shooting world. I personally have enjoyed reading the in-depth analysis given to all his chosen shooters. Shooting due to the political incorrectness of guns has had its fair share of bad publicity over the decades, but Russell has beaten this to become a household name in AUS, with a radio show and national notoriety to boot; he has broken the barriers that shotgun sports sometimes throw up and has driven the sport forward because of this. Russell would have been right up there challenging for the top spot himself if he had been so vain! Joking apart, a phenomenal career has afforded itself to Russell and I am proud to know him as a competitor, sportsman of the highest integrity, and above all a mate to whom you can talk about sport, or life in general when you dont meet up all that often.
