I am very proud of Rhylee who kicked butt during her first coach - TopicsExpress

I am very proud of Rhylee who kicked butt during her first coach pitch softball game tonight!! She is playing up an age group because she was not going to let us sign her up for another year of t-ball. She was 2 for 2 at the plate and played catcher the whole game! She did so well the coaches awarded her the game ball after their 14-8 victory. It kills me that I missed it, but I am glad to know that she is capable of putting it all out there whether or not any of us are there to cheer her on. Tarrah and Adriahna caught the last part of the game after Beans pitching lesson was over. Cant wait for this semester to be over and to be back with my girls everyday. Adriahna is kicking butt with her new pitching coach, and as a credit to Paula Piercey she is not changing very much at all, just small tweaks we were already starting with Paula anyways. Paula gave Bean an amazing foundation to build on, & for a kid who has only been playing/pitching softball 3 years she is right there or ahead of the girls who have played softball the whole time she was doing gymnastics. We are fortunate and excited to finally be back in a larger city where the good ol boy network/hook up is not nearly as prevalent. I just pray moving forward that my girls are judged based on their performance, attitude, and work ethic; not who we know or how much money we donate. Things look very promising and both girls are already making a name for themselves in the few weeks they have been there. Both girls are also gifted students as well as great athletes, so we are very thankful for their health and myriad of talents. Both are musically inclined, but Bean can only fit choir into her busy sports schedule, and Rhylee has a cornet that she toots on from time to time, so maybe she will start to take it more seriously. It is 100% her choice and not something Tarrah and I are forcing on her. Plenty of time for her to decide & enjoy being a busy kid in the mean time. So, thats the latest and greatest from me, I am looking forward to spring break next week and getting some great practice sessions in with my horns that I get back from Rich Ita next week. God bless and take care!!
