I am very proud of my Lithuanian roots on my mothers side, even though Mom rarely spoke of her family. I have been researching my family for over a decade, but as you must know, its not easy due to lack of info and name variations for starters. Of my four great-grandparents, I only know where one came from in Lithuania. Her name was Marcella Gaidukas from Dukstas. My other three grandparents last names are Asmegas(Asmenas, Oshmegas, Ascuiga), Miller (Milaszawicz) possibly from the Riga, Latvia area and Waitkus (Waitkiene) possibly from Tryskiu?. If any names ring a bell or if there is an area in Lithuania where these names may be popular, I would appreciate your advice. Thanks for your time.
