I am very proud of my roots,I so much love our culture and native names. Forgive me for being so candid but I am very sorry for those that choose to bear English,Spanish,Italian,French names instead of their african names. They are still slaves to their colonial masters,our native names have meanings and most times these names goes with the bearer. I so much love my igbo name that I personally decided to use it once I clocked 18 and could choose for myself. During my Primary,secondary education everybody knew me with an English name. We can have a foreign name as a middle name but I dont fancy it being our main names. How many Europeans,Americans or Asians bear african names out of their love for Africa? Why are you being fools and racists? You consider other races and cultures superior to yours and later expect them to value us. Seriously,I feel sorry for all those that fight to become American or European citizens denouncing our nationality or all that links them with Africa. The ancestors of the Afro-Americans were sold in slavery and many of their descendants are trying to trace their roots back to Africa and YOU are enslaving yourselves. Yes I am married to an European but I still cling on who I am,I love his culture and country and made him to love mine too. I bear his surname but he bears his chieftance title (OKWESILIEZE) too. Abeg oooh make una cherish wetin una get because if you treat yourself like rubbish dem go drop you for dorty. Those that know me well,know that I always call them fondly by their native names. That is my way of showing love or closeness too. Those James John,Mathew Kings etc that send me friend request with fake names,I laugh and accept you because this page is for my bussiness and I accept everyone but dont expect me to take you serious with such names. I love people of all tribes but love more people that are proud of their roots! Have a beautiful weekend and love yourselves. Promote your culture wherever you are!!! I love you greatly as always.
