I am very upset. Earlier this evening a car hit a little stray dog in front of my house while flying down the road like cars do here (like its a speedway). The dog was able to get up and run over into the weeds by an abandoned church across from us. It will not let us get near it because Im assuming its terrified and in a lot of pain. I can hear it crying and whining and its making my heart break. We have called everywhere we can think of and basically told theres nothing anyone can do. So basically, an animal is supposed to lay there and suffer. Im not really sure what to do at this point but I hate to see an animal hurting like this. Its sad we have no humane system in this county. I would take the dog to the vet if I could get to it. Even then, Shawnee told us a price that is astronomical and I cannot afford to take in a stray as I already have 2 dogs and a few cats of my own =( Please if anyone knows anyone who could help me figure out what to do, let me know. I cant just sit and let it suffer.
