I am watching the Assembly Water, Parks & Wildlife Committee hearing for the California orca bill AB-2140 Marine mammals: protection of orcas: unlawful activities. I am blown away by all the wonderful supporters who took the time out of their daily lives to attend the hearing in show of support for the bill. I am now listening to SeaWorld & the Hubbs-SeaWorld Research Institute defend their position against the bill. They talk of science but they have released only around 30 scientific papers that have any relation to orca in the last 50 years and not a single one of these contribute to free-ranging orca conservation. They are managing to insert the word money into almost every sentence. Their words flow beautifully, their words are enunciated with few faults, but their words are empty and their script a lie.
