I am whole heartedly appreciative of Mr. Jeff Lohman, who has been almost everyone’s teacher at Oakridge High School, a long time Oakridge soccer coach & now, City Commissioner for Muskegon County District 7. He reached out to me last fall with a conversation that reminded me with teary eyes that our small town of Egelston is & always will be a close knit, loving community. Mr. Lohman has broken ground with an idea to create a Tony Cardinal Memorial Highway on Apple Ave within Egelston Township, running between Brooks & the waste water facility. Our brother has been gone for nine years now this past Christmas but every time a person remembers him, there is peace that his sacrifice has not been forgotten & his memory lives on. This dedication for him means more than words can describe to our family. It will take baby steps with team effort from such thoughtful members of our community, your family & ours to make it happen but I have no doubts that we can accomplish this! Thank you so much Mr. Lohman for this & for those caring individuals who plan on investing their time to make this happen. You all are truly amazing & that is an understatement.
