I am wishing my FB friends a thoughtful Thanksgiving. Sometimes, this holiday feels to me that we are expected, socially, to be something like kindergarten children going around a circle pronouncing what we are grateful for. If so, I am grateful for an ability to be authentic; being genuine and authentic has great value and is something to be treasured - so here goes... We are celebrating an American holiday, and yet, America doesnt exist so long as indefinite detention of Americans without charge or a lawyer exists, or so long as Homeland Security and the Patriot Act are in existence, so long as the legalized assassination of Americans, military commissions, massive surveillance, drone strikes (which are now legal to use on Americans and on American soil), so long as the world has been declared a battleground ( Sen. Lindsey Graham) with the U.S. CIA in its decade old morph as the global military police enforcement agency with its secret (not so secret) prisons and extraordinary rendition. I am grateful that I can honestly express that for me, this is a day of grieving - of grieving the loss of the most precious jewel, the priceless treasure of nations, the LIGHT of Liberty, Freedom, and Human Rights which once resided in a living document entitled the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, now deceased. As an activist for truth, peace and social justice for years, I am currently feeling a great transition within for I know that in order to resurrect that which has been crucified we must have some form of ascension. Quantum physics tells us that matter and events spring from the collective consciousness - that we are collectively creating all of this and that we can collectively create something else as well. There are resources within us that transcend the naturals laws which we are accustomed to. Perhaps these interior resources, within each of us, have the collective properties and elements, the collective wellspring necessary to actually tip the paradigm from one of the global horrors of war, torture, poverty and loss of liberty to one of restoration, sustenance, understanding, healing, freedom, liberty and human rights as the ruling principles and states of being among this and other nations. The Buddha Boy of Nepal may provide some insight into our inner wellspring of potential to overcome these great adversities. He was studied by scientists and found to be a genuine phenomenon, defying natural laws. Discovery Channel went to film the inexplicable Buddha Boy - or to expose the falsehoods - yet they were astonished and moved by the very reality of what they found. Ram Bahadur Bamjan, the Buddha Boy, has meditated for three years without food or water. He is accessing scientifically, one could say, the quantum wave, he is being sustained by forces beyond this particle reality of atoms, proton, electrons and the like - he is somehow here, yet also...somewhere else and he is manifesting as....something else, something beyond our current understanding of the nature of man. There are answers to the tremendous national and world challenges we face but where can they be found? Perhaps in order to find the lasting solutions, while engaging in the activism which is necessary in order to bring about change, we must also....go deeper in order to find them. Peace and Prayers that we may one day resurrect that which has been lost and restore or find anew, liberty, freedom and human rights for every man, woman and child on earth.
