I am working on Halloween costumes for some of the grands today. I had to go to JoAnns for zippers, bias tape, etc. I had just closed my car door when I heard someone knocking at my window. After my heart attack, I looked to see a middle-aged woman standing there. I asked if I could help her. She said she had seen my QOV sticker on my car and had been waiting for me to come out of the store. She explained that she has a sister who is a quilter that is grieving the loss of a son from cancer. She wanted information about QOV because she thought it might be just what her sister needed. They are a hugely military family as well as a family that believes in giving back. Well... 45 minutes of parking lot conversation later, I hope we have a family of contributors to our mission. You just never know where a conversation about QOV will happen. Too cool.
