I apologize for not being clear in my earlier post, i was asking if Pork bones and beef bones were okay to give to my Tobe, RAW. I had mentioned that in my exp. as a chef that pork had to be cooked. What i neglected to say was... What about ham(where i stopped).....BONES. I should have said bones, sorry. But since i had already said PORK and beef bones, i just didnt want to be redundant, i apologize if anyone got the wrong idea abt what i was asking. My Tobe loves REAL bones, so when i have the extra money i like to get them for him at the butcher. (flashback-funny story) The first time i got him one, i knew there was a butcher in a Hispanic market just up the street from me. But wasnt thinking about them having real bones...DUH!!! lol. So Tobe and i were out walking one day and i got the bright idea to go in and see if they had one for him. WE went back to the meat counter and in my broken Spanish i finally conveyed to the nice lady what i wanted, (should have let Tobe do the talking since he is fluent in Spanish lol). She diappeared into the back and about 5 min. later came out with a 3 - 4 ft. long beef bone.....LOL. You should have seen Tobes reaction. He saw that bone and just sat down on his butt and looked up at it like... OMG!! SWEET JESUS....and started licking his lips. Even i was amazed at the size of it. She saw him and started laughing. I nodded my head yes, but explained that i needed only half of it and i needed it cut into 2-3 pieces. She came back with 3 manageable pieces and i didnt have any problem getting him to the house after we left....LOL. I boiled it, mainly cause i didnt want all that blood on my carpet. After it cooled, i gave it to him and that was almost a year ago and he STILL has it, chews and gnaws on it daily. Below is a pic with the same face he had that day when he saw the dinosaur bone.....lol. Matter of fact you can see part of it behind him on the floor.
