I apologize for the delayed update. It has been a very trying day for us physically, emotionally, spiritually, etc. We wanted to speak with family and process things first before we went to Facebook. Before we say anything, we want to thank everyone for the overwhelming prayers and well wishes. God truly gives us strength, especially in times of need. Ok... Let me pull myself together... The neurologist came in this morning and gave us one of the most gut wrenching punches we as parents could have ever had. Harmony has brain damage. Its not to the point of mentally handicapped. She will be able to live a normal life, just with development issues along the way. As a parent, we will work even harder to make her reach her goals. No, the damage can not be reversed. They cant pinpoint a cause as well. Just lack of O2 to the brain. It could have happened at any point they said, they just really dont know. We need continued prayers for her as we learn more about how to help her. She will have another EEG on Monday to see if there are anymore changes before they take her completely off anticonvulsants. I will update as we get more information. God has plans for her. She will overcome! I plan on proving the docs wrong at her neurologist appt in 3 months. She will hit milestones! She already defied the odds.. The doctors didnt think she would gain weight and our lil chunky monkey did! #prayerforpeanut
