I apologize for the late update. It has been an extremely exhausting day. The MIBG scan showed no metastasis to the rest of his body. Praise God. We then met with his surgeon who is operating on him on Monday. He is a wonderful man...very easy to talk to and explained everything very well. Next step is surgery, hoping they can remove the tumor in its entirety however they have some concern that the tumor is encroaching upon the aorta or the kidney itself. If this were the case they will consider chemotherapy to shrink the tumor prior to removing. The surgeon is not wanting to remove the kidney. He will also have bone marrow aspiration done during the surgery. Sorry for the length of this. Keep the prayers coming. Thank you!
