I apologize in advance for what is going to be a long, rambling - TopicsExpress

I apologize in advance for what is going to be a long, rambling post but I need neutral feedback from people that dont know me or my dog. A little background--Im 43, currently (have two pugs, Willow who is 2, Anderson who is 1. (both black, spayed & neutered). Im a professional dog groomer of 23 years (yikes!), started in Schipperkes, finished breed champions, Im an award winning groomer, do lots of continuing education regarding grooming and behavior issues. Long story short, lots of dog background with training and the resources for when I need help. Well, I need help and now I need more neutral resources! Has anybody ever had a dog that you just do NOT get along with? Total personality clashes? Willow is wrapped a bit tight and is high strung but she is sweet and oh so loving. Everybody is her long lost best friend that she never met. But she has one behavior issue that I canNOT cope with. She is not allowed in our bedroom but on occasion, she manages to sneak through and within 15 seconds she pees on the bed! (I cant totally lock the door because the cats have litter pans & food in our master bath). Willow occasionally manages to get the gate down and bam...beeline to the bed to pee. She used to sleep in bed, up until she was 9 months old, with my previous pug, Maggie. At 9 months, Willow seems to have flipped her lid. At this point, she got ultra dominant, started peeing in bed and attacking Maggie (Maggie was also ultra dominant). Maggie passed away last year when Willow was about 13 months old so Maggie is out of the picture. We think Willow still associated the bed with Maggie and its a dominance thing (yes, health issues have been ruled out). Now this peeing in bed thing is by no stretch a daily issue. She only manages to sneak in about every 6 weeks or so. Saturday, my fiance was sick in bed and Willow was missing Michael so we decided to try her in the bedroom, supervised. I took her out, she peed and I took her to the bedroom. She happily played with her daddy and after about 20 minutes...she peed in front of Michael!! I am not going to lie. I DO resent this dog. I love her but I dont like her. I have experience with difficult dogs. My last Schipperke, Rocky, was a slice of evil. We butted heads every day of his life but I loved him to bits and he didnt get under my skin. I am seriously considering placing Willow into a new home because I dont think I am the right home. I placed one dog before, my moms dog (mom went into a nursing home), and it was a win-win situation for everybody--moms dog, my dogs and the new family. I think if I could find the right situation where Willow would be happy, I would place her. I feel like I have looked at this situation from every angle possible but does anybody else have a view point, something Im not considering? Your constructive feedback is most welcome!
