I apologize, its been awhile, but I hope you had a good Thanksgiving! Im still recovering from a massive rivalry weekend that featured many games, but none more entertaining than the Iron Bowl down in Auburn. Alabamas 56 yard FG that missed just short was returned in the most improbable way. A 109 yard FG return for a TD by Chris Davis to put Auburn on top of Alabama 34-28 and also crowning them SEC West Champions. Auburn plays Missouri for the SEC championship up next. All this couldnt be possible if Nick Saban had just put his kicker out there despite Cade Foster being 0/3 at the moment, Nick Saban elected not to send him out to kick a manageable FG to put them up 31-21, but instead went for it and didnt make it keeping the score at 28-21, which then Auburn went down the field & scored. In the Big 12, Texas beats Texas Tech easily & Baylor had to sweat it out against TCU. Baylor & Texas need Oklahoma State to lose this weekend and of course a win by either one would give them the title. Of course if Oklahoma State wins over Oklahoma then theyll win it. Duke and Florida State will square off for the ACC championship. The improbable Duke Blue Devils, who are known for basketball jumped out at everybody this weekend by beating rival North Carolina 27-25 and pushing their record to 10-2 to finish regular season play. Oregon & Oregon State put out an entertaining game Friday Night. Oregon State scored with just under 2 minutes left in the game putting them up 35-30. They missed the 2 point conversion. Oregon then glided down the field with ease with seconds to spare and scored their own TD. They also missed two point conversion making it 36-35. Oregon State got the ball back with enough time for 4 downs at most, but in the end they went nowhere. Oregon isnt representing the PAC North due to losses to Stanford and an embarrassing one a week ago to Arizona. Arizona State will play Stanford for the PAC 12 crown. Ohio State & Michigan was a battle to the end when Michigan decided to go for a 2 point conversion over electing to go to overtime and kick the extra point after the TD. I dont necessarily believe it was the wrong call to go for two, but the play to get the 2 points was NOT pretty. Ohio State pulls it 42-41 in Ann Arbor. Ohio State gets the great pleasure of playing the best defense in the country, which none other than Michigan State for the Big Ten Championship.
