I apologize to all friends and family that may have been looking for updates on everyone here. Our cable and internet have been out since sometime last night, and it just now finally came back. Stupid wind... Anyway, heres todays 3 part update. Mom- Mom is still in the hospital, but doing MUCH better. Shes speaking coherently now, and has been able to walk short distances. Shes still receiving antibiotics for a urinary infection (believed to be the cause of her neurological breakdown) and IV fluids to flush her kidneys to prevent kidney damage from her damaged leg muscles. All the tests thus far have been pretty good. Her blood sugar was elevated yesterday, we havent gotten the results from todays blood tests to see if it was a fluke or early diabetes. She will stay at the hospital for now to get her fluids and antibiotics. Dad told the doctors she must be able to walk from the bedroom to the bathroom before she can come home, as we dont have the people to pick her up if she falls again. At the rate shes improving, she may be able to come home as early as tomorrow. :-) Charlie- Charlie had his first bowel movement since the trip to the vet today. Absolutely no visible fresh blood, and pretty solid. Looks like the bleedings stopped! Hes still a bit worn out, but his attitudes much better now. Unless he takes a turn for the worse, this is Charlies last update. Yay! Me- Meh, who cares? Ok, ok. Im still in pretty bad shape, to be honest. Due to high levels of stupidity and stubbornness (and exhaustion) Ive been trying to get a few things done around the house, with a little success. Being active(ish) has been helping the stiffness in my torn muscles and damaged joints, but making the pain worse (duh. Did I mention stupidity?). Im not limping due to damaged joints in BOTH legs, so Im not sure how much my family realizes how bad off I am. Cant limp if both sides are screwed up. My biggest problems are my back and neck, left ankle, and right knee. Theres a lot more damage in a lot more places, but those are the body parts bad off enough for me to consider removing. As far as my prescription mess up is concerned, I really want to punch somebody. Whatever genius spoke to the doctor didnt tell him WHY I needed a new prescription written out, so he thinks I want it for... I dunno. Just for fun? To sell on the side? I dont know. While writing this, my doctor himself called me. I explained (again) what the problem was, that the last prescription was only half filled. He needs to confirm this with my pharmacy first, then hell call me back and well figure out what to do. Waiting impatiently....
